Claims Representative III

We're seeking a skilled Claims Representative III to join our team at Intact. As a key member of our claims team, you'll be responsible for investigating complex commercial and personal lines property claims in a timely and respectful manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate claims through communication with customers, contractors, consultants, and other related parties.
  • Handle field tasks on behalf of telephone adjusters.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to external and internal customers.
  • Document claim files by meeting with involved parties and obtaining reports and statements.
  • Analyze information, interpret insurance policy wording, and determine coverage.
  • Negotiate with customers, claimants, lawyers, and insurers to settle claims.

Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma or equivalent business experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience handling personal and commercial property claims, with at least partly acquired experience in the field.
  • Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, capable of working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Strong aptitude for technology with excellent computer skills.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to travel on short notice.
