Lead Collision Repair Technician

About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to lead our team of skilled technicians. As a Lead Collision Repair Technician, you'll be responsible for overseeing the repair process, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards, and mentoring junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the repair process, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards
- Mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and training to help them develop their skills
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, attending workshops and training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills
- Perform structural and complete body repairs, including welding, frame straightening, and panel replacement
- Inspect and test drive vehicles to ensure they meet factory specifications
- Read and understand estimates, comprehending automotive repair procedures, and applying standardized production processes
- Work effectively with metals, plastics, glass, electrical, and mechanical parts
- Operate frame and measuring equipment, disassemble and reassemble vehicles
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 3+ years of experience in auto body repair and refinishing
- I-Car and OEM certifications are highly desirable
- Must have I-car Welding certification
- Ability to lift 100 lbs, stand, sit, walk, reach, and carry out physical tasks
- Valid driver's license required
- Up-to-date Compliance Training, including AODA, WHMIS, Worker Health and Safety Awareness, and Workplace Violence and Harassment
- Knowledge of Information Security PIPEDA
- Working Knowledge of Mitchell / Audatex (3-5 years)

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
Compensation:
The estimated annual salary for this role is between $60,000 to $80,000, depending on experience.
