The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving the financial success of BMW Group Canada. This highly skilled professional is responsible for Group/Internal Reporting, HC (Head Count) & OpEx (Operating Expense) planning, and data quality validation for the Financial Services division.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Submission of monthly/quarterly/yearly actuals, including disclosure requirements, and validation of weekly RRCM data.
  • Monthly/quarterly/yearly HC/OpEx actual and forecast reporting into HQ appointed tools/systems.
  • Handling questions and inquiries from HQ regarding submitted data.
  • Analysis of OpEx actual results, monitoring the overall company OpEx budget, and leading the OpEx planning process.
  • Supporting the reporting automation process and creating/maintaining relevant Tableau reports.
  • Review and assistance with internal and external audit requests.
  • Providing guidance on chart of account issues and interpretation of accounting standards.
  • Coordination with the accounting team to ensure compliance with IFRS, eGAAP, and HQ Reporting Instructions.
  • Ensuring corporate guidelines and policies are followed.
  • Assistance with HQ, regional, and local projects as required.
  • Providing ad hoc analysis as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the Accounting/Finance function.
  • Industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience dealing with accounting issues under both IFRS and ASPE.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude, logical thinking, and proven analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with SAP and Tableau is preferred.
  • Advanced PC skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL, etc.).
  • Self-motivated, results-driven with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong self-learning aptitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
