Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at D&G Logistics Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country. This is a permanent, on-the-road position with a 50-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods at designated locations
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency
  • Operate and maintain the vehicle to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Communicate with dispatch and other stakeholders to coordinate transportation and logistics
  • Record and maintain accurate records of cargo, hours of service, and fuel consumption
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
