The Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Mental Health General Nursing Unit in Swift Current. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting the Mission, Vision, and Values of our organization.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced nurse who can assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

About the Role:

This is a part-time temporary position working 24 shifts of 11.78 hours per 12 weeks. You will be responsible for promoting the health and well-being of patients, while ensuring safe and quality nursing care is provided at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' physical, emotional, and social needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent experience
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • Prior experience in psychiatric nursing an asset
