Account Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our team at People Corporation. As an Account Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and retaining an assigned block of business, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and retain an assigned block of business, including plan design, cost containment initiatives, renewals, reporting, and client questions/concerns.
  • Work closely with the implementation specialist, sales consultants/broker, underwriter, and client service specialist to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Support clients with claims, administration, enrollment, and calls, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and representatives to ensure all administrative requirements and requests are met.
  • Conduct in-person client service meetings with new and existing groups, providing education and support as needed.
  • Ensure necessary tools, benchmarking, and renewal reports are prepared and delivered to clients, meeting their needs and expectations.
  • Develop communications required for plan sponsors and their employees, promoting our services and expertise.
  • Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and other events to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in group benefits in a client-facing role.
  • Understanding of the group benefits industry, including funding arrangements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and general office equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service-focused, with the ability to work alongside the new business development process.
  • A solution-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and provide deliverables as identified in a timely manner.
