At Michael Hale, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with families in a home-based setting, providing top-notch childcare services.

Job Summary:

  • This role requires 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in childcare or a related field.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, patience, and time management abilities.
  • Candidates must also be comfortable handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs) of weight.

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy individual who can provide quality care for children in a safe and healthy environment.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for light housekeeping, meal preparation, and child supervision.
  • Additional duties may include shopping for food and household supplies, traveling with families on trips, and assisting with household tasks.
  • Our ideal candidate will also possess strong communication skills, be able to maintain confidentiality, and be flexible with changing schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Change diapers and assist with personal hygiene needs
  • Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas according to manufacturer instructions
  • Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and tidying up living areas
  • Shop for groceries and household essentials within budget
  • Travel with families on trips and assist with child supervision and household tasks
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by parents
  • Instruct children in social development and good habits
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering dietary restrictions and allergies
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • Supervise and care for children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children, providing comfort and support when needed

Certifications and Training:

  • Familiarity with infant and child CPR certification
  • Food allergy and anaphylaxis training to ensure a safe and healthy environment

Requirements and Benefits:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in childcare or a related field
  • Criminal record check and reference required
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Excellent organizational skills, patience, and time management abilities
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
