We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at HOMMEE HOMES LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Support for persons with disabilities, newcomers, refugees, youths, Veterans, and Indigenous people
This is a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week. The language of work is English.
