Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Midstream Market Analyst to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our Energy Supply and Resource Development group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the needs of our core customers are met in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of gas supply resources and optimize strategies to meet our core load.
  • Nominate and schedule daily quantities on third-party portals and in the Horizon ETRM software.
  • Provide weekend, after-hours, and holiday coverage as part of the midstream on-call rotation.
  • Support the development of the Annual Contracting Plan and other Gas Supply regulatory filings.
  • Provide analytical support to the Energy Support business unit.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of three years of recent and related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Substantial knowledge of the utility industry is an asset.
  • Sharp analytical thinking to identify problems, provide solutions, and support various business units.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across the Company.
  • Superior strategic and innovative thinking in decision-making for supporting regulatory filings.
