Torus Talent is partnering with a leading employee-owned construction solutions partner to find an experienced Estimator for their Infrastructure division in British Columbia.
Key Responsibilities:- Determine the project scope of work and develop preliminary construction schedules based on self-perform productivities and subcontractor input.
- Identify and develop constructability requirements for project construction, ensuring accurate estimating and analysis to support successful project delivery.
- Participate in risk identification, cost mitigation, and opportunities for cost savings, reviewing subcontractor bids for irregularities and completeness.
- Lead bid closing activities, with oversight from a senior estimator when necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- ~5+ years of construction-related experience, including 2 years of on-site experience in cost estimating or construction management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, scheduling software (Primavera preferred), quantification software (such as OnScreen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Agtek), and BIM modeling is an asset.
- Team-building and social events.
- Training, development, and mentorship opportunities.
