Laundry Attendant Job Description

At Hôtel Alt Quartier DIX30, we are looking for a detail-oriented and physically demanding individual to join our team as a Laundry Attendant. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating dryers and blow-drying machines, mixing and adding detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches and other solutions and chemicals, and hand folding and bagging shirts, sheets and other articles.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and machinery, including dry-cleaning machines, dryers, hot head press (laundry), steam press (laundry), and washing machines. You will also be required to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Operating dryers and blow-drying machines
  • Mixing and adding detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches and other solutions and chemicals
  • Hand folding and bagging shirts, sheets and other articles
  • Assembling and bagging finished articles
  • Checking finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure that establishment standards are met
  • Recording damage or improper cleaning or laundering of articles
