Job Summary: Fortinet is seeking a highly skilled Automation Developer to join our Automation & DevOps team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing automation frameworks and tools for software releases of FortiOS products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Automation Frameworks: Create and maintain automation frameworks and tools to streamline software releases of FortiOS products.
  • Troubleshoot and Monitor Automation Systems: Troubleshoot and monitor various automation systems to ensure consistent operation and availability.
  • Maintain Code Base and Fix Bugs: Maintain the code base and fix bugs for existing software test tools and frameworks.
  • Develop New Software Solutions: Develop new software solutions to improve the efficacy of QA workflows.
  • Provide Technical Support: Provide technical support to QA engineers involving test automation tools and frameworks.

Requirements:

  • 5+ Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience as a software developer or software developer in test.
  • Expertise in Python and Linux: Expertise in Python development & Linux shell scripting.
  • Networking Knowledge: Solid networking knowledge, like TCP/IP, L2/L3 switching and routing.
  • Jenkins Pipelines: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Jenkins pipelines.
  • Containerization Technologies: Deep understanding and hands-on knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Linux/Unix Administration: Hands-on experience with the administration of Linux/Unix Environments
  • Virtualization Experience: Experience with different virtualization environments including VMware & OpenStack & KVM.
  • Strong Systems Experience: Strong systems experience on Linux and services and virtual machines.
  • API and Web Services: Experience with APIs and Web services, including REST.
  • Team Player: Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting and Debugging: Outstanding troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Multi-tasking: Ability to multi-task and quickly react to system/service issues.

Nice to Haves:

  • QA Workflows: Familiarity with QA workflows or hands-on QA testing practices.
  • Test Automation: Experience with test automation using Robot Framework.
  • Python Web Framework: Experience with Python web framework Django.
