About the Role

Tangerine Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Planning to join our Canadian Banking Finance team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our business by providing strategic financial planning and analysis support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute financial plans and strategies to support business growth and objectives
  • Lead a small, high-impact team and report to the CFO of Tangerine Bank
  • Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to drive business decisions and optimize financial performance
  • Own all matters related to treasury, including distribution of product funds transfer pricing (FTP) rates and knowledge of key factors impacting these rates
  • Support deep dives or additional requests into treasury-related items and act as an advocate for Tangerine Bank to ensure accurate value is being ascribed to all assets & deposits
  • Provide relevant financial updates to senior executives and the Tangerine Bank Board of Directors as required
  • Assist in developing front-end data visualization tools and dashboards to support business decisions
  • Work closely with Scotiabank finance teams to better understand and solve technology roadblocks
  • Support finance risk and operations work, projects, regulatory initiatives, and internal & external audit activities as required
Requirements
  • Relevant experience at a financial institution in Treasury, Product, Economics, or Finance roles
  • Relevant experience leading complex, multi-facet projects, process improvement initiatives, and/or technology roadmaps
  • Experience interacting with senior executives on a regular basis
  • Domestic-focused work (Canadian Banking segment)
  • Direct support to Tangerine Bank Executive Leadership Team, key stakeholders across business lines, and Canadian Banking Finance
