Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care to complex patient populations, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where no two days are ever the same.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality nursing care to patients with complex needs, including triaging and managing multiple patients simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify abnormal patient responses, and take appropriate action.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Recent experience in Emergency Nursing, with a focus on complex patient populations.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in BCLS, TNCC, PALS, ENC(C), and ACLS.
  • Recent continuing education in Emergency Nursing.
  • Experience with Central Venous Line Management and Lead II Arrhythmia Interpretation.
