About the Opportunity

The University of Niagara Falls Canada is seeking a highly skilled Business Law Curriculum Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the academic community, this individual will play a pivotal role in developing high-quality courses that cater to the needs of students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Associate Dean and instructional designers to create engaging and interactive course materials for online, hybrid, and traditional classroom settings.
  • Design and develop curriculum frameworks, learning objectives, and instructional materials that meet quality standards and student learning outcomes.
  • Utilize instructional design principles and best practices to ensure courses are accessible, inclusive, and aligned with industry requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with multimedia specialists to integrate diverse perspectives and expertise into course development.
  • Ensure all developed content is aligned with the university's academic standards and regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Law, Business Law, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in online course development, instructional design, or curriculum design in a higher education setting.

Skills and Qualities

  • Demonstrated expertise in adult learning theories and assessment strategies.
  • Proficiency with course development tools, learning management systems (e.g., Brightspace, Canvas, Blackboard).
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, AODA) and experience designing inclusive learning environments.
  • Knowledge of copyright and intellectual property issues related to educational materials and online content.
