Job Summary

The Director of Care is a key leadership position at Regent College, responsible for overseeing the nursing operations of the facility. This role requires a collaborative and servant-leader mindset, with a clinical background and a passion for driving culture change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and oversee all nursing operations, ensuring quality standards and policies are met.
  • Develop and evaluate resident care programs, and initiate and monitor quality improvement activities.
  • Participate in the development of nursing policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with legal regulations and best practices.
  • Lead and develop personnel, fostering a collaborative and efficient workplace.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing standards in nursing administration, and ensure the team is equipped to provide high-quality care.

Requirements

  • Degree in nursing; master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration, an asset.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong background in nursing and leadership.
  • Valid nursing and CPR certification, and a willingness to maintain current certifications.
  • Beliefs and values in harmony with Regent College's values.

  • In-depth knowledge of legal policies and regulations in the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to lead and develop personnel.
  • Outstanding organization and stress management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
