Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced occupational therapist to join our team in the Comox Valley area. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care to clients. You will work closely with our team to develop personalized treatment plans, conduct assessments, and provide support to clients in various settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive functional assessments and develop graduated activity plans to promote client independence and return to work
  • Liaise with healthcare teams, funders, and community resources to facilitate client access to appropriate services
  • Collaborate with rehabilitation assistants to deliver effective interventions and outcomes
  • Develop expertise in working with diverse populations, including orthopedics, mental health, neurology, and persistent pain
  • Prioritize professional development through ongoing education and training

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Current membership with COTBC or eligibility for registration
  • Experience working with agency payers and private practice settings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable vehicle for clinical appointments
