Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Showroom Consultant to join our team at EMCO Corporation. As a Showroom Consultant, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and sales support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in selecting products and providing design advice to meet their needs and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with designers, builders, and architects to drive profitable sales growth.
  • Provide accurate and timely quotes, delivery dates, and enter orders into the system.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales and gross profit targets.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues, address short payments and returns, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and maintain product literature to ensure the most current information is available to customers.
  • Drive showroom sales through promotions and maintaining display materials.
  • Understand and follow all safety regulations at customer locations and at the Profit Centre.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college and/or university degree an asset.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showroom.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of products on display and provide solutions to customers' needs.
  • Knowledge of kitchen and bath design trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates.
  • Able to identify customer needs, provide solutions, and close sales.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders.
  • Intermediate math skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with or knowledge of products sold in plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showrooms.
  • Experience using Trend and Eclipse.
