Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Canada Inc. as a Landscaping Team Leader.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, offering 35 hours of work per week and a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, supervise and schedule staff to ensure efficient completion of landscaping projects.
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance activities, including lawn care, pruning, and garden upkeep.
  • Estimate labour and materials costs for landscaping projects and oversee their execution.
  • Organize and direct construction of decks, decorative walls, and other outdoor features.
  • Supervise landscape construction work, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
  • Tender and administer contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to inform landscaping project planning.
  • Repair and maintain landscaping equipment to prevent downtime and optimize efficiency.
  • Requisition or order necessary materials, equipment, and supplies in a timely manner.
  • Resolve work-related issues, provide technical guidance, and suggest improvements to boost productivity and quality.
  • Supervise nursery and greenhouse workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Establish clear work schedules and procedures to ensure smooth project execution.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, with a focus on attention to detail. They will be required to combine sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.

Required Tools and Equipment

Candidates must be willing to use steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment as necessary.
