Accounting Technician

The Northgate Trading Inc. is seeking a skilled Accounting Technician to join our team. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts. You will also be required to keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems. Additionally, you will prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports, and prepare tax returns. The ideal candidate will have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role and will be proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, Quick Books, and Simply Accounting. The candidate will also be required to provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees. The position is permanent and the language of work is English. The hours of work are 30 hours per week.
