Minimum Qualifications:

  • DZ or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract required
  • Available to respond to call-ins within thirty minutes
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Previous experience in winter-works operations
  • Mechanical knowledge, ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
  • Good understanding of MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements

Job Summary:

Our Snow Plow Operators are an integral member of our winter maintenance team. You will safely operate a spreader, plow wing, combo unit and/or tow plow, performing snow removal on local roads and highways as per the contract requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate snow removal equipment

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment

• Maintain accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service

• Familiarize yourself with route maps and sand/salt application rates

• Meet call-in requirements during winter storm events
