Global MES IT Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to lead the development of MES and IIoT solutions across our enterprise. This role will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing Shop Floor applications to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.

The successful candidate will lead a team of experienced developers and analysts to design, implement, and manage Shop Floor applications across the company. They will interact with Plant Management, Business Unit Leadership, Continuous Improvement Teams, and Control Engineers to collaboratively design the future of our Shop Floor application environment.

The position will involve:

  • Leading a global team of developers, application analysts, and the MES center of expertise to develop and deploy standard solutions (Shop Floor Applications) across the company
  • Managing continuous refinement of our Shop Floor Applications and Standards
  • Managing, monitoring, and reporting on multiple concurrent projects
  • Developing and leading a process of best practices and ensuring alignment across the company
  • Development of system tests, procedures, and documentation
  • Managing budget, contracts, and licenses for our Shop Floor environment
  • Collaborating with various teams for process improvements & problem resolutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
  • 5 years of MES, IIoT, and/or Industry 4.0 experience
  • 5 years of Team Management experience with leading a development team
  • 3 years of application architecture and design experience
  • 3 years of experience with Ignition incl. 2-3 years of experience with the Perspective module
  • 5 years of development experience incl. Python, ReactJS in conjunction with MS SQL
  • 3 years of AI/ML technology experience like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Shakudo
  • 3 years of Web Technology experience (i.e. NGINX, FastAPI, HTML, CSS)

  • Grafana experience
  • Edge environment experience
  • MQTT or Kafka experience
  • Software version control (Git)
  • Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
  • Experience with agile project management (i.e. Scrum)
  • Experience with Linux
