As a Tax Manager at Grant Thornton, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and build your expertise in corporate and personal tax planning. Our team of over 400 tax professionals is dedicated to delivering exceptional client service and providing personalized solutions to complex tax problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach and mentor a team of tax colleagues on compliance and tax planning options
  • Establish deep trusting relationships with clients and advise them on complex tax matters
  • Advise clients on reorganizations, rollovers, windups, amalgamations, provisions, estate and trust planning, as well as manage T1, T2 and T3 returns
  • Proactively resolve tax-related issues with clients, tax authorities and other team members
  • Act as a leader in the management of our growing tax practice, identifying and developing new opportunities for additional tax services
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in or have completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course, or have a Masters of Taxation degree
  • Developed and presented new ideas and conceptualized new approaches and tax solutions for clients
  • Solid experience in corporate and personal Canadian tax compliance
  • Helped mentor and develop others
