Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as backhoe excavators and loaders to perform tasks such as excavation, demolition, and land clearing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blueprints, maps, and specifications, and be able to interpret them to plan methods or sequences of operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment such as backhoe excavators and loaders to perform tasks such as excavation, demolition, and land clearing.
  • Interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment.
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
