Ethnic Food Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at RAJA THAI AND INDIAN CUISINE. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as training staff in food preparation and handling.
Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
- Staff Training: Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient ordering and minimize waste.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment with fast-paced and physically demanding conditions.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Cuisine Specialties: East Indian cuisine.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, time management.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
