Environmental Engineering Internship Opportunity

Ash Grove Cement, a CRH company, is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Environmental Engineering Summer Interns. This 10-12 week internship provides hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing, specifically in the cement production process.
Key Responsibilities- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Complete a variety of engineering projects with various teams at our facilities, including maintenance, safety, mining, and process engineering.
- Present on completed projects to peers and corporate leadership at our headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas.
- Gain hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing, from raw materials sourcing to finish milling, and propose changes to improve operating costs, efficiencies, environmental impact, safety, and product quality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
- Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program majoring in environmental engineering.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and conduct themselves professionally.
- Must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and proactive approach.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
