Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to assist our Contact Manager in the daily payroll function. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing new employee profiles, processing payroll, benefits enrollments, and other clerical and accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process new employee files and records, and submit them to the Contract Manager for approval.
  • Calculate driver and staff payroll, and input payroll information into the computer for processing.
  • Accurately track attendance for permanent part-time employees, and maintain an accurate driver seniority list.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, and distribute mail and packages.
  • Assist in accurately tracking overtime to reduce unnecessary hours.
  • Verify standard hours to reduce additional driver hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Contact Manager.

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and is a self-starter.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
