As an Airframe Tooling Inspector at MHI Canada Aerospace, you will be responsible for ensuring that precision measurement instruments are maintained and calibrated correctly. You will also verify the dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
About the Role- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure they are accurate and reliable.
- Document and report any deviations from specifications or tolerances.
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports in a timely manner.
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering or metrology.
- At least 3 years of experience in airframe tooling inspection or a related field.
- Strong understanding of precision measurement instruments and their application.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An estimated salary range of $65,000 to $85,000 per year, based on experience.
