Job Title: Food Service Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Team Lead to join our team at Best Western Plus Chateau FSJ. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the food preparation and service operations in our hotel.

About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has excellent leadership skills. As a Food Service Team Lead, you will be responsible for supervising a team of staff members, including chefs, servers, and kitchen assistants. Your goal will be to ensure that all food and beverage services meet our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.
  • Train new staff members on job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring minimal waste and maximum efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock levels, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports on food costs, inventory management, and employee performance.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff members.
  • Detailed knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
