Job Title: Custodian

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at School District #6 (Rocky Mountain). As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining a healthy, clean, and safe environment for our students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a clean and safe environment for learning within our facilities
  • Assist in general safety and comfort for staff, students, and visitors
  • Clean and secure district buildings
  • Monitor public use of school facilities
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks, including changing lamps as required
  • Check fire extinguishers and emergency lights as needed
  • Perform winter maintenance tasks, such as snow shoveling and deicing
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, practices, and equipment
  • Knowledge of WHMIS and WorkSafe BC safety procedures
  • First Aid Certificate would be an asset
Working Conditions:

This is a casual position, and you will work independently, often after school hours. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift heavy equipment and supplies.

What We Offer:
