Carpenter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Marcantonio Designs Limited. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Work Environment:

As a Carpenter, you will work in a variety of settings, including commercial and industrial environments. You will be exposed to noisy and dusty conditions, and you will need to handle heavy loads and work under tight deadlines.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the trade
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide instruction to apprentices
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule is 35 hours per week.
