Job Description:

Rising Edge Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator Manager to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for overseeing technical reviews with estimators on proposals and preparing complete electrical, structural, and civil cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support project estimators with technical support, focusing on the "in progress" portion of the estimating process, assessing technical project requirements, and personnel needs.
  • Assist the Estimating Manager in implementing department procedures, methods, and processes, relaying estimating information to the Estimating Manager and Director of Pre-Construction, and performing additional administrative duties.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating Manager and Director of Pre-Construction to utilize and benchmark historical data.
  • Prepare complete cost estimates for electric transmission, generation, distribution, and substation projects.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the electrical high voltage, utility, or renewables industry.
  • Possessing estimating knowledge of electric distribution, transmission, and substation projects, with a strong understanding of protection and control schemes.
  • Ability to prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera.
  • Proficiency in all applications within Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Self-driven and able to stay on-task for extended periods.
  • A team player who can work with various partners from start to finish.
  • Travel may be necessary throughout Canada; must hold a valid driver's license.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
