At Alberta Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry production, with the ability to prepare dough for a variety of baked goods, including pies, bread, rolls, and sweet treats. The successful candidate will also be responsible for requisitioning and ordering materials, equipment, and supplies, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
  • Draw up production schedules
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
  • Operate machinery
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

This is a permanent position, working 35 to 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to communicate effectively in English.
