Baker - Pastry and Bread Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Alberta Limited. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bread and pastry products according to our recipes and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality products.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Prepare special orders and ensure that all products meet our quality standards.
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods as required.
- Draw up production schedules to meet customer demand.
- Ensure that all products are stored and displayed in a clean and organized manner.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Organize and maintain inventory levels to minimize waste and excess stock.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Requirements:
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a bakery or related field.
- Permanent employment with a 35 to 40 hour workweek.
- Fluency in English.
