IFRS Finance Manager

Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled IFRS Finance Manager to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial data and implementing new accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the finance operations team during the IFRS17 parallel year.
- Complete financial transactions using IFRS-4 or IFRS-17, or both.
- Run reports and reconcile differences between IFRS-4 and IFRS-17, and provide explanations for those differences.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Documenting processes and controls in relation to both the new accounting standard and new systems.
- Provide support for financial reporting projects and ad hoc requests.
- CPA designation or other accounting designation/MBA or Master's degree.
- IFRS accounting experience.
- Experience on either IFRS 15/IFRS 16/IFRS 17 /IFRS 4 would be an asset.
- At least 5-7 years in a core accounting and reporting role.
- Sound knowledge of financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and direct projects to deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills, with specific proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
