Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Mahimex. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, taking into account their specific dietary needs.
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and that all equipment is in good working order.
- Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, ensuring that they are clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Operations Management: Manage kitchen operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Education: A Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience is required.
- Language: Fluency in English or French is required.
- Work Setting: Experience working in a catering firm is preferred.
- Task Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
