Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled EWIS Designer to join our team. As an EWIS Designer, you will play a key role in the electrical studies for aircraft inboard systems, including the deployment of design tools, architecture choice of interconnection systems, and development of CAD wiring layouts and installations.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze technical documentation and customer specifications to ensure compliance with FAA and/or EASA requirements.
- Participate in the definition of internal and outsourced works, including the deployment of tools and design processes.
- Design electrical schematics drawings with Electrical CAD, CATIA V6/3D Experience, and project technical data management.
- Follow up and update drawings, track changes and validation with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Produce and manage documentation required for EWIS qualification and certification.
- Respect expected quality levels of deliverables, costs, and milestones.
- Establish and follow up performance indicators.
- DEC and at least 15 years of experience in electrical wiring Aeronautics.
- Good knowledge of FAA and/or EASA requirements in design and qualification/certification processes, including significant experience with avionics harnesses in cockpit.
- Good experience in CAD electrical design and harness installation, CATIA V5 (EHI/EHA Module), Mentor Graphics CH, SEE electrical or equivalent, PDM, and MS Office tools.
- Experience with CAO CATIA V6 and/or 3D Experience (CATELECTRE) is an asset.
- Mastery of project milestones as part of a new aeronautical program (PDR, CDR...).
- Knowledge of the process and requirements of qualification/certification.
- Knowledge in electromagnetic disturbance, electromagnetic compatibility, and harness routing rules.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as EN NF9100, ISO 9000.
- Experience with systems such as avionics, cabin, power distribution, antennas.
- Bilingual (French and English), written and spoken.
- Team player with ability to perform under minimum supervision.
- Proven skills in project organization and ability to work as a technical interface in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proactive and great sense of responsibility with good technical judgment.
