Job Description

The Townsend Facility, operated by AltaGas, is seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our team. As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the facility, working closely with the Lead Operator to ensure daily operations run smoothly.

This is a camp-based position with a shift schedule of 10 days on, and 10 days off, rotating days and nights. We offer competitive compensation, including a base salary and various allowances. Additionally, you will have access to all benefits programs from day one.

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in facility or pipeline operations, preferably with experience in gas plant and power generation. A Grade 12 education or equivalent, along with completion of a Power Engineering program and a minimum 4th Class Steam Ticket, are required. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a 3rd Class Steam Ticket.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the daily operation of the Townsend facilities, working the 12-hour day/night shift schedule.
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Townsend facility.
  • Assist in the safe and efficient operation of all scheduled and unscheduled work, including operations, repairs, and maintenance.
