Fort St John, Canada Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd Full time

**_Techmation Electric & Controls_** is looking for a **Plant Operator** to join our team. Individuals must be knowledgeable about current OH&S legislation, and conversant with the industry standards and practices of today’s safety-focused Oil & Gas sector.

**This is a camp position in Northern BC with an 8/6 shift.**

**Requirements**:

- Must have a 4th class power engineering ticket with a minimum of 5 years gas plant operations experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in board operating
- Must understand and follow MOC, integrity programs, OGC/WorkSafeBC/Technical Safety regulations
- In depth knowledge of gas compression, refrigeration, hydrocarbon distillation, facility storage, and gas/ liquids sales systems is required
- Current Standard First Aid Level 1, Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive and CSO certificates are a requirement
- Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work within a team environment
- Must be able to also work independently and complete routine tasks
- Preference may be given to contract operators with their own company
