**Job Summary**
Chartwell is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Night Shift RN. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to our residents and contribute to a positive work environment.
**Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year**, depending on experience and qualifications. Wage leveling may be subject to government direction and applicable agreements.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide professional nursing care to residents in accordance with required medical care and established nursing care plans and practices.
- Supervise the activities and provide direction to Guest Attendants or Personal Support Workers, as needed.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care to meet the residents' physical and emotional needs.
- Evaluate resident care plans in collaboration with other multidisciplinary team members.
- Communicate effectively with relatives regarding the care and condition of respective residents.
- In conjunction with the Health and Wellness Manager, participate in discharge planning, consultation, and/or transfer of residents.
- Provide direct resident care and participate in resident teaching, as required.
- Encourage active participation by residents in all therapy programs and recreational activities.
- Develop and maintain an appropriate plan of care for each resident.
- Liaise with attending physicians, psychiatrists, consultants, social workers, clergy, relatives, or responsible persons, nursing, dietary, activity staff, etc., to ensure effective resident care is provided.
**Requirements:**
- Degree in Nursing from a recognized educational institution.
- Certification in Geriatric, Rehabilitation, or Long-term/Retirement Nursing, including activation, nursing, and personnel administration.
- Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Statutes influencing the operation of the Retirement Home and nursing department.
- Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses within their province.
