Job Description:

At Arterra Wines Canada, we're seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing and growing our premium wine portfolio in the Edmonton area.

The Role:

This role involves utilizing our sales methodology to grow volume, sales revenue, and market share while positioning Arterra Wines Canada as the core supplier of premium wine in the area. You will be responsible for developing and executing annual account plans, tracking industry and competitive information, and maintaining a strong call pattern and schedule for a predefined group of accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the Arterra Wines Canada selling methodology to grow volume, sales revenue, and market share.
  • Develop and execute annual account plans to meet and exceed territory and provincial business plan.
  • Track industry and competitive information to stay ahead of the market.
  • Maintain a strong call pattern and schedule for a predefined group of accounts.
  • Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations to increase account share at existing wine accounts and secure distribution at new and developmental accounts.

Requirements:

  • University degree or comparable with a primary focus on business, sales, and/or marketing.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • WSET or ISG certification an asset.
  • Wine product knowledge and understanding of the beverage alcohol industry.
  • Account/territory management experience.
  • Proven experience or certification in sales and negotiation.
  • Strong analytical skills and polished presentation abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with customers and peers.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, driven, and disciplined.
  • Computer literacy, including the ability to create and modify PowerPoint presentations, Word and Excel documents, and effectively utilize web-based tools and resources.

Compensation: Budgeted range – $55,000/year. The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
