Financial Planner Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Planner to join our team at Affinity Credit Union. As a Financial Planner, you will be responsible for developing financial plans for our members, providing support and expertise in all aspects of financial planning, and leveraging technology to deliver a remarkable member experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop financial plans for our members, taking into account their financial goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon.
  • Provide expert advice on investment products, retirement planning, and estate planning.
  • Leverage technology to provide member education and deliver a remarkable member experience.
  • Promote the interests of Affinity Credit Union through community outreach activities, generating opportunities and attracting new members.

What You've Got:

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, plus 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A financial planning designation, such as CFP, QAFP, or PFP.
  • Mutual funds course (CSC, IFIC, or equivalent) and maintenance of registration eligibility.
  • Successful completion of Responsible Investment (RI) Course within 12 months of starting.
