Privacy Lawyer Opportunity

Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP is seeking a highly skilled Privacy Lawyer to join our Montréal practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for advising clients on privacy policies and procedures, conducting privacy impact assessments, and ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on privacy policies and procedures, including data protection and information governance.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and personal information transfer assessments.
  • Assist clients with understanding the privacy implications of their activities and projects.
  • Research and analyze changes in privacy laws and regulations.
  • Advise clients on cybersecurity incidents, including incident response and preparedness.

Requirements:

  • Excellent academic record and strong communication skills.
  • Experience in a similar high-calibre privacy law practice.
  • Commitment to exceeding client expectations.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of privacy issues and membership in the Québec Bar.
