About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at the UHN Reactivation Care Centre. As a key member of our physiotherapy service, you will work collaboratively with interprofessional teams to enhance the quality of life of patients by planning and implementing individually designed programs of physical treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather patient information through observation, interviewing, and reviewing pertinent documentation and health records.
  • Conduct initial screenings and assessments to evaluate patients' physical, functional, psychosocial, perceptual, and cognitive status.
  • Analyze data to develop a clinical impression, formulate a treatment plan, and provide consultation recommendations.
  • Communicate results to patients, essential care partners, and healthcare teams, identifying diagnoses and providing individualized treatment plans.
  • Cultivate excellence in physiotherapy services through ongoing professional development and education of students, learners, and hospital staff.
  • Participate in research studies related to physiotherapy and contribute to the development of quality indicators.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Science (Physiotherapy) or recognized equivalent based on Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Minimum one year of related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Compliance with legislation outlined in the Regulated Health Professions Act (1991) and the Code of Ethics and Rules of Conduct of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
  • Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and function independently.

Salary Range:$80,000 - $110,000 per annum.
