About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at Buca Vaughan. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and cooking of complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff, ensuring a high level of culinary expertise throughout the kitchen.
  • Create new recipes that showcase our commitment to quality and innovation.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, promoting a culture of excellence and attention to detail.
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining a well-stocked and organized kitchen environment.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards, aligning with our commitment to serving exceptional cuisine.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Work Environment

As a Chef de Partie at Buca Vaughan, you will work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and working under pressure to meet demanding kitchen standards. You will be required to stand for extended periods and maintain a high level of physical fitness.

Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Dependability, efficiency, and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
