With a diverse range of programs, including crisis support, youth resource centers, and specialized foster care, we strive to empower individuals and families to reach their full potential.
About the OpportunityWe are seeking practicum students to join our team and gain hands-on experience in various fields, including youth care, social work, clinical supports, human resources, administration, accounting, and payroll. As a practicum student, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced professionals and develop valuable skills and knowledge. You will assist with various tasks and projects, applying your theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting.
Duties and Responsibilities- Commit to learning and growth, with a willingness to receive constructive feedback
- Gain insight into the practical application of theoretical knowledge
- Collaborate with participants, coworkers, and supervisors to provide efficient service delivery
- Share ideas and thoughts with your on-site supervisor to enhance program effectiveness
- Complete a post-practicum evaluation to reflect on your experience
- Must be a student in a recognized and accredited educational institution
- Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C certification, or willingness to obtain
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry check, and Adult Abuse Registry check, all completed within the last 3 months
Position status: Full-time or part-time, dependent on required practicum program hours. We will only be accepting practicums from September to April yearly.
Work Location: Varies based on the program, with potential locations in Winnipeg, St. Pierre Jolys, and Thompson, MB.
