Environmental Specialist Lead Role

My client, a reputable environmental consultancy, is seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist Lead to drive the growth of their environmental department. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to shaping the department's strategic direction and lead impactful projects that align with the company's values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of environmental professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and innovation, focusing on generating new business opportunities and nurturing strong client relationships.
  • Oversee project management, ensuring timely delivery, budget management, and excellent client interactions.
  • Create compelling work plans and reports, translating complex information into clear communications for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team of environmental scientists and engineers to tackle challenges and create solutions that make a real difference in the community.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in an environmental discipline, such as biology, environmental science, geography, earth science, or soil/reclamation science.
  • At least 10 years of consulting experience and proven project management expertise to lead and deliver impactful environmental projects.
  • Strong understanding of Northern markets, key client sectors, and regulatory processes, positioning yourself as a trusted expert in this region.
  • Leadership and collaboration skills, guiding teams to success while fostering a cooperative and innovative work environment.
  • Experience working with local Indigenous governments and communities, enhancing the cultural and environmental integrity of projects.
  • A valid driver's license.
