Job Title: Rebuild Shop Technician

Location: Sudbury, ON

Scope:

The Rebuild Shop Technician is responsible for providing technical support to the rebuild shop, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of tasks. They must possess strong analytical skills, be able to troubleshoot complex problems, and have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the rebuild shop, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of tasks.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, be able to troubleshoot complex problems, and have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Coach and mentor apprentices, technicians, and other peers on technical procedures and applications.
  • Apply knowledge of machines and machine systems to perform troubleshooting of malfunctioning components and systems.
  • Able to perform inspection and reports on out mobile equipment.
  • Follow written work instructions, repair manuals, engineering drawings.
  • Provide input to Supervisor and team for continuous improvements.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or Certificate of Completion.
  • Red Seal Certificate as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic, or Truck and Coach.
  • Very strong mechanical/electrical aptitude combine with hands-on test experience working on mobile mining equipment and component diagnostics.
  • Experience as a mechanic and repair of mining equipment. Familiarity with our fleet of equipment preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with coworkers.
  • Experience in safe rigging practices and procedures required.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy and working familiarity with Microsoft Office procedures.
