About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Mental Health & Addictions Program as a temporary full-time member. In this role, you will participate in planning, development, provision, and evaluation of mental health services.

As an Occupational Therapist with Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to clients. You will also be responsible for developing collaborative partnerships with other agencies and community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in planning, development, provision, and evaluation of mental health services
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to clients
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with other agencies and community stakeholders

In addition to your clinical expertise, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited University Program in Occupational Therapy
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Occupational Therapy Association
  • Eligible for registration to practice Occupational Therapy in Nova Scotia
  • Minimum three years Occupational Therapy experience with clients in an Addiction & Mental Health setting
  • Experience in community-based population health approach
  • Ability to provide effective Addiction & Mental Health/Occupational Therapy assessment
What We Offer
  • $33.96 - $42.89 Hourly
  • Temporary Full Time position; 75 Hours Bi Weekly
  • Approximately 6 months
