About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team at Study Group. As a key member of our analytics team, you will play a critical role in delivering valuable insights and management information to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake complex statistical analysis of various datasets, producing performance measures, modeling scenarios, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders. This will involve working with internal and external data, using quantitative and qualitative analytics techniques, and ensuring data quality checks and screening.
  • Manage and design the reporting environment, identifying areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes, and establishing and maintaining automated data processes. This will involve working with the Data Architecture Team to identify and revise reporting requirements, and developing and maintaining MI/data reports and dashboards.
  • Create data visualizations using PowerBI, Tableau, and other tools, providing an accessible way to see and understand trends, outliers, and patterns in data.
  • Manage complex data-related projects and the production of data products from inception to conclusion, including those involving complex data modeling and forecasting. This will include supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
  • Support ad-hoc requests for data and process confidential data and information according to guidelines, with a complete understanding of GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and understanding of data analysis tools and techniques, ensuring effective data utilization. Contribute to discussions on systems, databases, platforms, software, and data tools, particularly concerning data and analytics requirements for new or upgraded systems.
  • Take a lead in promoting improved data literacy within Study Group and contribute to fostering a data culture across the organization. Advocate for enhanced use and management of data at Study Group.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in a Management Information/Analyst role using Cognos Business Analytics or PowerBI, Tableau, advanced Excel, and SQL.
  • Undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) from a reputable university or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of effective collaboration with stakeholders in specialist and technical roles, including IT infrastructure, data, and analytics specialists, as well as senior executives.
  • Ideal experience with SQL server, Microsoft Azure Data Lake, or Oracle databases and data warehouses.
  • Highly desirable to have experience with Alteryx, R, and/or Python.
